David Stickley

Having trained locally at Central Hospital and then at St Michael’s Hospital in 1993 I have 20 years experience in nursing and 12 years at management level.

As The Responsible Individual I carry out all duties and responsibilities as required by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). My nursing experience has mainly focused on the care of individuals with severe and complex mental health needs. I am a great advocate of the therapeutic relationship and feel that without really getting to know those you care for you cant fully support them on their recovery journey.

Established in 1984, Guys Cross was purchased by the current owners David and Tracey Stickley in 2003. Both David and Tracey are qualified mental health nurses and have extensive nursing and management experience; with the desire to provide excellent care in a modern yet homely environment David and Tracey Stickley embarked on a major refurbishment project and have subsequently invested over two million pounds to ensure that Guys Cross is a home residents and staff are proud to live and work in.
